Hello to the membership of the Kamloops Heritage Society. I hope you are all enjoying the summer and staying cool.

I am pleased to inform our membership that the Society website is nearing completion, and we should all thank Vice President Joe Leong for all his work in organizing this endeavour.

The society is moving forward in a new direction. We will need your help to make this happen.

I think we all have stories in our heads that need telling. Perhaps you grew up in the Kamloops area and can provide pictures of what it was like to grow up in your hood in the 50s. Possibly, your parents knew a fascinating pioneer, and you thought they were interesting and kind.

There could be a little old farmhouse on your block that will likely be torn down someday to be developed but it is not too late to take pictures and research who used to live there. Someone was proud of that house at one time, raised a family and became part of a growing community.

Please contribute to this Website. Once you learn and research what you find interesting about our shared Kamloops and area history, you will be hooked on learning and sharing more of the story.
We are surrounded by shadows of what used to be, and somebody, possibly you, must remember them.
